Celtic Quest Fishing Report

The Fluking is really picking up. The sand
eels have hatched and are on the shoals. When the drifting
conditions are favorable, fluking has been very good. Though our
biggest fish so far is only 6 lbs I have seen several doormats
weighed in up to 10 lbs caught right off Cedar Beach and B9.
We sailed with two customers on Tuesday and
caught a great mixed bag for the day. When the current was slow,
we limited out on big porgies off Rocky Point to go with a few
blackfish to 6 lbs. We also jigged some bluefish and finished
the day (once we had a good drift) with six keeper fluke to 4
lbs and a lot of shorts. Not a bad day.
We look foward to a great run of fluke during
the upcoming month. Hope to see you soon.
