The real fine fishing continues on our combo
trips. Diamond jigging Friday, Saturday and today saw some real
quality bass and bluefish. Yesterday was a little tough with the
rough conditions and very fast drift, though we did manage a
pick of mainly bluefish. Otherwise, there has been lots of
bluefish, weighing into the low teens and several keeper bass to
38 inches in the mix. Fishing the incoming in 40-60 ft of water
in the middle grounds has been the key.
The porgy fishing today was phenominal, as it
has been on most trips both day and night. Limit catches of 50
fish in an hour or two have been common. We look forward to the
continued great fishing right through the fall.
