April 24, 2004 Opening Day !!!!

It was a good start to the blackfish season today. Fishing was slow on the first two drops but as the water warmed up a bit on the last of the ebb the bite turned on.

We ended the day with over 50 keepers and lots of shorts. Nothing huge but plenty of action.

The water was 45-48 degrees which is still a bit cold. With a few more degrees the blackfishing should get even better hopefully within the next week.
